Retreat

Is an interesting name for a church event. Is there any relationship between what we think of as a church retreat and the kind that happens in war?

For me, this weekend, it's more the kind that happens in war. Life has been hard over the last week and I need to run away from that for a while. I need to regroup before I get back into the fray.

This weekend I get to retreat from life, and I'm really looking forward to it. We're going to be talking about grace and worshiping the God who is offering us victory, even though we deserve defeat. I am really looking forward to this.
